Last week’s theme was all about what the immune system is and how to boost it so we can be better prepared to fight bacteria and virus infections that can cause serious illness conditions.
The holiday season can be the cause of a lot of stress for body and mind for many reasons. Either because you are traveling, or for those who have children, you want to be sure that you are prepared for any situation, or because you will have the whole family at home and that could be stressful. There is panoply of reasons that could affect the holidays.
This week's article is designed to give ideas on how to best cope with stress during the holidays using essential oils, as well as being perfectly prepared in case of an emergency while being away from home.
Whether you spend your holidays at home or venture to an unknown destination you can be absolutely prepared using essential oils. Essential oils are pure form and it always should be diluted before applied on your skin. To do so you can use vegetal or animal oil such as coconut, jojoba, olive, sweet almond, often called “Carrier Oils”. For many of us this is the go-to carrier oil when traveling. Jojoba makes a great moisturiser, and it’s safe to use everywhere: body, hair and even face. Although you do have to be careful not to over apply, too much can cause a greasy effect. It’s moisturising properties are extremely effective sunburn; is gentle to use on your face, including close to your eyes, so makes the perfect natural makeup remover. It doesn’t have any chemicals, unlike commercial products, and the moisturising effect makes me feel like the makeup hasn’t dried my skin.

Grapeseed oil is found in many cosmetic products such as face creams, lip balms, and sunscreens, as an antiseptic and efficacy agent to help improve skin.
Traveling comes with a few unexpected events we can all relate to. Headaches, jet lag, sore muscles, bug bites, exhaustion, and a wide variety of stomach pains can all make your vacation a bit less than pleasant. Instead of waiting to see if anything happens, which eventually will especially if you travel with children, plan ahead with your essential oils. There are many ways to use essential oils wherever you are that will allow you to always be prepare for any situation. If you prefer topical application you can always use small sized roll-on bottles, spray glass bottles where you will dilute pure essential oils with a carrier oil or simply filtered water. You can also apply the essential oils on necklaces, bracelets or other natural jewellery to serve as aromatherapy.
